Downtime

“When I am completely myself, entirely alone, and of good cheer…it is on such occasions that ideas flow best and most abundantly.” – Mozart

It seems we don’t honor time alone much, especially alone and daydreaming or “spacing out” and yet from all I’ve read the most creative individuals then and now do this. Does creativity support health? What do you think?

Coaching tip: If this concept is new to you begin by spending five minutes not doing but simply being. Notice all the thoughts that go through your head. A lot of women tell me they feel guilty taking time to simply "be". If that’s you, ask yourself what beliefs are supporting the guilt? Are they valuable to continue holding?
